2017 Nationwide Vigils & Events to #EndGunViolence

December 14, 2017 is the five year mark of the heartbreaking Sandy Hook tragedy. Since that tragic day in Newtown five years ago, 500,000 Americans have been killed or injured by guns. We urge you to join us in our effort to continue to shine a light on the devastating epidemic of gun violence in our nation.

Gun violence impacts all of our communities and the victims, survivors and the families impacted by gun violence are often forgotten. Therefore, the Newtown Foundation, the charitable arm of the Newtown Action Alliance, in partnership with Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Everytown Survivor Network, Faiths United to Prevent Gun Violence, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Organizing for Action, States United to Prevent Gun Violence, St Marks Episcopal Church and Women’s March will once again host the annual national vigil service of mourning and loving remembrance for all who have fallen victim to the ongoing epidemic of gun violence in America.

The 5th Annual National Vigil for All Victims of Gun Violence is being held on December 6th from 7:00-9:00PM at St. Marks Episcopal Church on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. We will be joined by families and survivors of gun violence from towns and cities across the nation, congressional leaders, special guests and performers. We encourage you to reserve your seat here:

The national memorial service in Washington D.C. on December 6th will anchor the Nationwide Vigils & Event to #EndGunViolence throughout the 50 states during the month of December. We encourage you to attend a local vigil service or a remembrance event in December in your community.
